The Crossfade Wireless looks nearly identical to the Crossfade M-100 with a few changes to accommodate its rechargeable battery in the left ear cup. However, other than that, the two headphones are mirror images of each other. So let’s get to the V-MODA Crossfade Wireless Over-Ear Headphone Review.
These headphones have a signature hexagonal shape to their ear cups, which is an interesting and angular change from the usual oval design of most headphones. The outer shell of the earcups has a simple design with a metal plate screwed into the cup, which looks reminiscent of a medieval knight’s shield. The ear cups are attached to the headband by a thin, yet very sturdy, crossband.
This headphone’s wired mode is just as great as its wireless mode. It’s designed to work as an analog headphone when plugged in and sound just as great as the standard M-100. In fact, when you plug the headphone in, it automatically turns off, making it great for people who forget to turn off their headphones. You don’t have to worry about draining your battery while using them in their wired mode.

Overall, however, a headphone with dual microphones sounds a lot better than the Crossfade Wireless’ single microphone.
V-MODA Crossfade Wireless Over-Ear Headphone Review: HEAVY-DUTY TOP-QUALITY PRODUCT
This headphone is not exactly the lightest. It weighs in at 10.3 ounces or 292 grams, making it pretty heavy for a wireless headphone. Fortunately, it’s very well built, comes with a protective carrying case, and has metal parts. It’s significantly more durable than many other headphones. They also come with a one-year warranty and if they break after a year, V-MODA will replace them for $150, which is half off of their retail value.
Unlike the M-100, the Crossfade Wireless doesn’t fold up completely for storage. It’s missing a second hinge, so it only folds flat, so you can’t use one case to hold the other.
NOT AS CLEAR AND CRISP AS THE M-100
This headphone comes in chrome, white silver, gunmetal black, and red. If you buy them from V-MODA’s website, you also get an extra pair of custom 3D-printed fiber or laser-engraved aluminum shields for when you want to customize your earpads. You can also get other 3D printed materials, such as steel, raw metals, plated gold, silver, or platinum, but it’ll cost you at least a month’s worth of treats.
The bass and treble of this headphone are slightly pronounced, but not overly so. The midtones sound natural and are never harsh. Compared to the M-100, this headphone has more bass, but its sound is not as clear and crisp.
